My journey

Time to listen, understand and move forward.

I’m Judy Turcotte, a social worker and member of the OTSTCFQ since 2014. I have been in private practice since 2023.

For nearly ten years, I worked across institutional and community settings: a CLSC, a suicide prevention centre, a women’s shelter and telemedicine. Those experiences taught me a great deal, and they also drew me toward private practice for one simple reason: time. Time for an emotion to settle, for reflection to deepen and for a genuine connection to grow.

I chose an entirely virtual practice to make support accessible to people living in Quebec. Whether you live in a remote area, keep an unconventional schedule or simply feel safer at home, physical distance need not be a barrier.

Cultural and linguistic sensitivity

Language is a tool, never a barrier.

My own path has taken me from eastern to western Canada, as well as to Australia and Spain. Living between cultures has shaped the nuanced way I listen in every session.

If your thoughts form in one language but your emotions come more naturally in another, we can move fluidly between French, English and Spanish, according to what feels right for you.

My clinical stance

An anchor in the storm.

A safe, inclusive and non-judgmental space for navigating change.

My approach begins with the therapeutic alliance. Our relationship of trust is the foundation of the work: confidentiality, a clear framework and genuine presence. It is supported by respect for your identity, kindness, clinical integrity and a sincere commitment to your well-being.

There is no universal recipe. Our work is shaped around your story, culture and concerns, without requiring you to justify who you are in order to feel fully welcomed and understood.

Clinical foundations

Informed, flexible and up-to-date.

I maintain an active continuing-education practice so that our work can adapt to your needs.
